First road trip ideas?

Hi, Everybody...

Sooo... I think I'm finally getting our Lemonade Stand to the point of trusting a short road trip. Still for some issues, but at least the tires won't explode any time soon

Any way... We're by the Sacramento area, and was wondering what might be a good mini road trip re couple of daze, that might include water (it's freaking hot!)... Lake, river or ocean. Hookups would be a bonus for one of the daze, but not necessary for both... When we camp, it's usually worth a tent... It'll be the first time for me with a"house "

Thanx Mucho

Yosemite - a cool float down the Merced River

Lake Tahoe - a cool dip in Sand Harbor among the rocks

We're in Sacramento also. Here's a couple of ideas:
West to the coast to Cassini family campground near the coast and on the Russian river
North up 5 then west to the coast following the Trinity river. Then through the Avenue of the giants.
Then there is Yosemite and Kings canyon parks.
When you get more confidence east to the parks in Utah
South on 5 then do Hoover dam, Grand Canyon south rim, 4 corners, etc.
Have FUN!!

Haven't been to Russian River in about 30 years... Loved it out there! And my goal is to definitely get comfortable for looooong trips... Want to be able to go back to Colorado for visits, etc

Yay! I have a list started

I used to go to Russian River when I was a kid. Fond memories of that place. But Calif. being what it is today....I don't know.
