First trip in 7 years

Hello from I40 East out of Abq. NM! We just got our rig Monday, the Ins. inspector saw it this morning, we just filled it up with gas and in the road headed to San Antonio, Tx.

It feels different only because our first was a Class C and this is a Class A. Otherwise it's FANTASTIC to back on the road.

Happy Trails and Cheers!
Shaz

Sounds like you are in for some fun times! And.. it must be time for you to change the picture on your avatar--still shows your Class C. Congrats on the new rig!

Sadly our shakedown trip is being cut short. 2 of the 5 dogs have become sick. The older of the 2 is worse off. Turning around at Carlsbad to head back North. Murphy's Law is in full force but it was not waisted at all. Still having fun.

Both have now seen the vet and both have gastrointestinal issues. On other words upset tummy's. Now what did it?? Dogs ain't talk in but could be eating grass to lizards.. anyway meds for 10 days. They should be fine.

Well, that's not so bad I guess. Guess you need to keep them away from lizard protein!

It's probably motion sickness. Dogs can get that. Cure is to take them for frequent car rides. We had a Doberman pinscher that got car sick. He got over it when he was about 6 months old.

ChasA, thanks for the information. Yes young dogs do get motion sickness in cara. These are seasoned traveling songs. Always in the car going somewhere even if its just the 8 mile round trip to get mail. If the trick door or car door is open they all are in there.

So, I would not go to Cara or sing them ANY seasoned songs, that could mitigate car sickness?

Closed and locked!!! Now waiting for our baby to come home for our next trip. Sent her in for her shakedown issues we found after delivery.

Headed back south for some dove hunting. One of our favorite places called Loco Hills in the middle if the oil fields in southern NM.
