'Fixed' mini-blinds

With the MH so new to us we are still making discoveries.........this past weekend I realized the 'mini-blinds' do not pull up! You have the little rod control that rolls them, but they are fastened to a peg-like spool at the bottom (placed behind a trim piece) and do not come off of this. I love to be able to open the blinds and curtains when we are parked somewhere so Hannah and Jack will have a view out, but I guess if I want to do that again, I will need to do some major modifications. Does someone know if it is possible to modify these to be able to pull them up? There isn't even a cord. Other than ripping them out (which would mean new blinds or curtains - and which, I suspect, could be very expensive) what can I do?

Some mini blinds are designed similar to day/night shades in that the strings are attached to spools on the wall. Have you tried lifting the bottom bar of the blind upward? The strings will move inside the bar and create a resistance but you should be able to lift the entire blind upward.

Oh, RV Wizard, I KNEW there had to be a simple solution.....it was just past me to figure out. I haven't tried it yet, but I bet you are right. Thank you so much!
This place is GREAT! We don't really know any RVers yet, so you will be our 'place to go' for information.
