Flag pole installation
How do you all have your flag poles on the roof installed? I want to make sure our will not blow off. We plan to have an American flag and an Alabama Crimson Tide flag on a single pole.

Ditto on the Flag Pole Buddy - great product. I have two, one larger and one smaller, on my rear ladder - this way you can get one on both sides of the ladder. Flag poles for flags, ham radio antennas, and WiFi arrange booster. Note that if you don't have a ladder they can mount to a wall as well.

We use the trailer hitch adapter which holds our collapsible aluminum flagpole we purchased years ago from Northeast Flagpole company. The nice feature about the flagpole is we can use it on the RV or at home.

Flagpole Buddy for us......Make sure you buy the aluminum mount, not the plastic one. The plastic one will fall apart in a couple of years. I also drilled the base of the Flagpole Buddy and run a pin through it and flagpole so it doesn't rattle against the ladder, consequently making noise in the bedroom.

I have two of the plastic ones now for several years with no deterioration...
I have also drilled and pinned my larger 2" mount to keep it from sometimes rotating with heavy load - a 22' flagpole holding a ham radio wire antenna. I can see where this could be done with variations in ladder uprights dimensions.

I was tailgating a few years ago, it was a very windy day, I was watching when I saw a ladder mounted flag ruin the RV ladder. It snapped like a pretzel. I bought a telescoping unit with the drive on base. And I take it down in high winds, and had to straighten the drive on stand with an 8# hammer once. Be sure and get the fiberglass pole from Flag Pole Buddy rather than the cheaper aluminum...

Just put a Flagpole Buddy 22' Telescoping Plastic pole & holders on 3 weeks ago. Very easy & pole tilts to place the pole in the top holder then place in bottom cup. Spent a week in the windy Cape Cod weather with no issues at all. Highly recommended.
