A neighbor, who is diabetic, got a bad wound on his leg which would not heal. His Dr sent him to a would specialist, who removed any scab, covered the wound with honey and bandaged it to keep it from contact with air and germs.

I leave my bourbon in the MH year-round since it doesn't freeze. The only down-side is when I'm working on the MH I sometimes get sidetracked.

When I had the pop-up in the backyard, the boys and I would ensured that it was
stocked with marshmallows, Graham crackers, white and regular chocolate bars, and fresh eggs. Being that the fridge in our never worked, we made sure everything was safe being left out at room temp.

This was likely Manuka honey which is actually sold in tubes at CVS for wound treatment along with bandaids etc. So it is actually a legit thing but its not the usual honey you get at the grocery. I use a little mixed in my evening face lotion to help with rosacea.

There are things we always have on the camper. The stuff mice would be interested in is stored in metal and or airtight containers. While it wouldn't be exciting food we have enough on the camper to eat a week including shelf stable milk, butter, hash brown potatoes and bacon. I keep biscuit mix and stuff to make bread. I don't leave the fridge running.
Now for the good stuff that I take every camping trip, Steak. I love a good steak on the grill.

I carry Scotch.
It stores nicely from 0 degrees F to 110 degrees or more, unlike a good bottle of wine.
You can kill pain and clean a wound with it also. So it has beneficial uses as well a enjoyable benefits.
Dinty Moore Beef stew in a can and popcorn. Quick meals that store well.

I bring grain , usually barley, hops and some yeast. I found convenient sealed packaging of these ingredients along with water in serving size containers at just about any store.

Is that so you can brew your own on long trips?

Sorry, but as a very experienced diabetic, you are totally wrong about honey. Glucose is glucose is glucose no matter if it comes from bee spit or some ugly beet. Honey may have other benefits but not to people with diabetes.
