New to RVing We have a a 1996 Winnebago Adventurer

We will be leaving Brantford, ON on the 31 Oct heading to Moose Jaw, SK with stops in Toledo, OH Chicago,IL Rogers, MN Bismark, ND planning on taking 6 days to make the trip.

It looks like we will meet up with freezing temps and snow on our trip

Any suggestions on preparations and precautions we might take?

Welcome BUD4U to irv2.
Within this thread is traveling in winter weather have done many times in bad weather.
While your coach may not be the same it will give you what you need.
Heat is the most important whether your winterized or not.

We don't mind the cold when travelling, but will not go in snow or ice, not worth the risk.

I can not make suggestions but I can tell you what I did with my class A.

I winterized, blew out the lines, pinked the traps.. months before leaving Detroit for Las vegas on 1/2/2006 Yes, January 2, about 3am.

I did carry water in a jerry can and some other containers inside the coach where it was warm but did not put water in the "System" till I got "Below the frost line" as it were.

We took the "low road" west (Southern route)

Now that my daughter has married, Divorced, moved, and JUST (Last Friday) Gotten re-married.. I once again took the southern route.. It's 81 degrees outside here in Townsend GA.
