Freightliner clock when chassis batt disconnected

Does anyone know if the Clock in the instrument cluster get powr if the Chassis batteries are disconnected?

I seem to have a strange problem. Whne I get my coach out of storage, the clock is wrong (both date & time). But they are NOT reset to the power-up default.
It almost seems like the clock always has power, but my clock is loosing time.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Dan

You know, I never noticed as I don't use that clock. And thanks for reminding me to replace that parameter on the LBCU with something that is actually useful.

I have a Freightliner chassis and the clock in the LCBU is powered by the chassis batteries. When they are turned off, the clock does not operate and needs to be reset when you turn the battery on again. In my coach, there are several items connected to the chassis battery that could easily drain it when in storage so it is important that it be turned off. It is not difficult to reset. You can download the chassis owners manual from the FCC website which has full instructions.

Thanks Bob,
I had a feeling that was the case. What threw me was that when I checked it today after the Chassis batteries were turned back on, the date was 9/6/14. I expected as something line1/1/10 (or some other "default" value).
But I guess it is just random....and Yes, it is easy to set.

Regards,

Dan
