Fresh water tank adding conditioner??

The only way I can get fresh water into my holding tank is through a hose. Tried adding conditioner into hose then filling tank, doesn't work very well. Other than removing water filter and adding conditioner in filter cartridge is there any other way of getting conditioner into fresh water holding tank? Can't even make coffee with the water, awful smell and taste.
Thanks in advance for any ideas guys.

Safe travels all

For drinking water add a filter for just the sink under the sink.

Lasts longer and tastes great.

Standard item at most hardware stores.

About rv stores or rv listed as they are same or lesser quality at greater price.

We used whole house type and plumbed it in a bay for better access.
