Front-end alignment on freightliner

A friend of mine and I both have 2001 39 Ft. National RV Tradewinds on Freightliner Chassis. We are both looking for a front-end alignment center and would prefer one someone could recommend in the Dallas, Texas area.

My problem: While I'm driving on the freeway I am always having to "correct" the steering. In other words, I correct to the left, then I have correct again to the right, and vice versa.

When I was under the motor home and had someone turning the steering wheel in both directions, with the engine running or not, there doesn't seem to be any play in the steering.

A year ago (Dec. 08) I replaced the old tires, which didn't show any uneven wear. The new tires have 6000 plus miles and neither to they show any wear. If a front-end alignment doesn't correct the problem, I am thinking of having Steer-Safe installed in their factory in Deming, NM on our way to the RV show in Quartzsite.

If anyone has had front alignment service in the Dallas area, I would appreciate your recommendations.

Happy Trails,
Larry Sorenson

Alignment

You should find a good truck shop that will do an alignment of both front and rear axles. On our semi tractor, a 3 axle alignment cured all of our problems. It was expalined to me that if the front and rear axles are not all headed in the same direction, just aligning the front won't do any good.
