TSD usage

I signed up for this card about a month ago and used it the past 16 days while out on the road to the Pacific NW.

I have not sat down and figured every last dime but have reviewed the charges and statements.

The charges posted to my financial account the next business day. Likewise a spreadsheet came in my email the next business day detailing the transaction.

In the course of 16 days we travelled 3600 miles and I bought fuel on the card 11 times.

We purchased approximately $483.12 in fuel at the pump and the amount debited from my account was $410.30

We did fuel several times at a non-participating fuel station which I used another means of payment.

All I can say is thank you TSD for this opportunity.

Further note, the best saving were at Love's but for what ever reason the pump made me go inside in pay before I ever inserted my card so not TSD's fault.

At Flying J/Pilot I inserted the card in my phone app. When I pulled into the pump (truck lanes) I pulled out my phone, went to the app. It knew I was there and gave me a code to input into the keypad on the pump. I was fueling within 30 seconds and never inserted anything into the pump card reader. NICE!

I recommend this program!!!

Didn't know about the Flying J app and TSD. I've added it to my Love's app, I'll add to my flying J as well.

The first thing I did when I got my TSD card was download the Love’s app and load all the appropriate information needed but I didn’t have a Love’s reward card.

On Thursday I planned my first Love’s stop and before I went to the pump I walked in and got my Love’s reward card along with meeting a friend for lunch. At lunch I added the reward information to the app. After that I moved from the parking area to the first available pump. I then went through the EASY process of identifying the Love’s station and the pump number I would be fueling at. I answered the items about DEF, cash advance and something else I don’t remember. Again…EASY! When the truck ahead of me cleared the pump we moved up into position and by the time I got around to the pump the app was telling me, in effect, to wait for the pump to be authorized. I only waited for about a minute and it gave me control of the pump. I fueled up and very soon after I shut the pump off I got my receipt. I also so my rewards points added.

The next day (Friday) I got a spread sheet with all the info for the transaction.

On the next business day (Monday) I saw the debit from my checking account.

It doesn’t get any easier.

FWIW it was the Statesville NC #497. 111.184 gallons with a pump price of $339. Final TSD price was $285.69 so I saved $53.31 (15.7%).

EASY!

For those that used TSD at a Flying J or Pilot what did you see for savings per gallon?

I have the Good Sam / Flying J Pilot card and get $0.08 off each diesel gallon

TSD's program is .045 discount at PFJ locations. If you're going to fuel there you're better off using your existing program.

Let me just add at many locations there are both PFJ and Love's stations, and using TSD at Love's will give you a much better discount.

ok..... I applied for the TSD card... they called me as I did not give them my banking information over there internet. I wanted to confirm they would take a Canadian Bank info. As it turns out you can only use a US based account. Going next week to open a US account.

Since this card means we're most likely headed to Loves to get the better price, has anyone noticed if the Bio-diesel content is consistently near 20%?

Their website doesn't always list a biodiesel percentage. The ones in my area list B19 compared to B10 for other truck stops.

Loves BioDiesel

Just completed a 18 day trip to the Pacific NW. Stoped at Loves 6 times and not once did the pump show any indication of being anything but straight diesel.

I only used the truck lanes.

With this card do you still have to go inside to get the pump turned on?

No you can swipe at the pump. With the Love's app you can start the pump from your smart phone without having to swipe the card at all.

Thanks for the info. After having a DP for over two years I have never used the truck lanes. One of the main reasons was having to go inside to pay. I have been using the RV lanes at FJ most of the times. But this discount may make me use the truck lanes now.

I used FJ lanes where possible with my Thor ACE, but some of them just seem a little tight for my 44' plus toad. Mostly because I find often inconsiderate parkers around the RV lanes that can cut down on the clearance getting out.

So, I switched to the truck lanes when I got my Ventana. Life is going to be nicer with the TSD card now.
