My wife's E350 based class C has been occasionally coming up with a SES light with the code for a loose fuel cap. Along with this I find that if I fill the fuel tank higher than the first click or if the MH is slightly off level when it is being filled fuel runs out of the top of the tank. I am sure the two problems are related. Before I drop the tank to look for the leak I would like to know if anyone else has had a similar problem and what I should be looking for. We purchased this MH used with 9k miles on the odo and I suspect the problem has been with it from the day it was built. When we test drove it the SES light was on and the dealer said it was a loose fuel cap and cleared the codes.
