Furnace ignitor not working

Just found out the rear furnace in our Allegro isn't firing. It does everything the front furnace does, but---

Standing outside at the vents, the blower runs for about 10 seconds, then a distinct "CLICK"...

Following the CLICK, you can hear the ignitor on the front furnace doing the 'tick-tick-tick-tick' thing, followed by flame-on.

Rear furnace, has the CLICK but no tick-tick-tick, just a faint smell of propane, then it goes away-- Click & faint propane repeats in about 30 seconds, then one more time again ONLY... 3 strikes, yer out...

Seems to be doing exactly what it should, just no ignitor.
The furnaces are Suburban SF-35's.
What to look for, and do I pull the cover and look from outside, or from inside?

Thanks in advance!

I had a problem witth one of my furnaces not igniting. I switched the control board to confirm it was a bad board.A new control board solved the problem.
