Garbage Disposal

I was wondering if anyone has a garbage disposal in their Motorhome? I cannot find any info on it, but it seems like it would not be a good thing to have garbage, no matter how chopped up, go into your gray water tank.

Meat scraps, veggy matter, and no flush hose.
Not to mention the space loss under the sink.

They are offered as an option on some coaches. I too wouldn't want to deal with the added problems in the grey tank. Best use of a garbage disposal in an RV is some people modify them and use them as a macerator. We scrape plates and carry waste to a dumpster or trash can. If you use NADA to estimate value of an RV, you can check on the added value if you have a disposal.

Why, I think it answered in previous post more problems than good.

Why do they not install garbage disposal's in mtr hm., for all the reasons above and also the weight. Those things are heavy.

Good points. It should go to the blackwater tank, but having one really isn't worth the hassle. Thanks for all the responses.
