$2.39 to $2.85 in the greater SF Bay Area. It is what it is.

Going to Alaska this summer, I hope it's cheaper than in year past. Alaska right now is $2.45 in Fairbanks $2.25 in Anchorage. I'll take that in a heart beat.

Very few of the gas stations along the Alcan ever report prices on the Gasbuddy website. It might be that RVers don't have web service to report the prices. I have reported well over 15,000 gas prices on that site over the last 5 years.

$1.55 NE. Ohio...

Here is a chart from Gasbuddy website with 11 years of fuel prices Fuel price chart All I can say is that is one hell of a roller coaster ride.

Based on current prices, it appears Rod posted the Canadian price for a US gallon.

With the sanctions lifted in Iran that means they are starting to export 500,000 barrels a day to start with. I can't see prices rebounding any time soon. Lots of lost jobs up here. But I guess it is supply and demand and at the moment there is a lot of supply.

Are you saying the cost in American dollars is $4.79 (reg unleaded). Or are you saying for a Canadian to convert over to US dollars it is the equivalent of a Canadian resident paying $4.79 a gallon..

Either way, that is no place to have to fill up a fuel tank for a RV.

Fact, I'll give that a triple !

No, I'm saying I need to have my second (third?) coffee before I post in the morning. ;-)

I used the wrong side of the US / CDN exchange rate in my post. $1.41 not $0.71.

The current price in the Toronto area is then about US$2.42 / US gallon.

My bad...... If any of my former professors are reading this, as Larry the Cable Guy says...... Lord, I apologize.

People are blaming or crediting Iran, or Opec for the current price drop, but it is really my fault.

I have not driven my MH for several months. I camp in the summer and generally leave the MH in the barn during the winter months here in the North Boston suburbs.

Last August, I came back from my last summer trip and did not fill up. I have an 85 gallon gas tank in my Southwind, and was over 50 gals down. I had planned to do some gas treatments, and wanted to only need to treat 30 gals instead of 85.

Around the 1st of the year, with gas more than a $1 per gallon less than it was when I put the MH in the barn, I decided that it was time to fill up. I was quite proud of myself, in saving close to $1.25 per gal in filling up when I did.

I fully expected gas to go up by spring, as it usually does, and therefore felt I was saving money over my eventual spring fill up.

Gas has dropped an additional $.25 since then.

I believe it is simply a plot to make me look like I filled up prematurely. If I had not filled when I had, the price would not have dropped.

The ONLY reason gas prices are continuing to drop is because I told my wife how smart I was to fill the tank when I did. I have stopped saying it.

You are all welcome.

Good you had me worried

I can't believe the exchange rate ( $1.00 UD = $1.40 CA)

But I bet with the limited gas stations along the Alcan the fuel prices will still be in the $3 range (US). I know the Fort St. John is a high priced zone you may want to avoid fueling up at.

In Southern California I am finding diesel at a local station for $1.97 I can remember a few years ago when diesel hit $5.00 a gallon those were painful fill ups. I hope those days don't return.

Gas here in NE. Ohio hitting $1.30, diesel still in the $2.20 - $2.40 range. But I have noticed since fuel prices have been coming down that the spread between "reg" "mid-grade" & "premium" is getting wider. Reg $1.35, mid at $1.65 and Premium at $1.95. Used to be only 10 or 15 cents between grades.

Any trends from our Canadian IRV2 friends? I'm having a feeling because of the limited competition along the Alcan, fuel prices will still be rather $$$ compared to what we are seeing in the US.
