Gas Prices

While heading up to our storage lot to put our recently purchased Dolphin away for the winter I wanted to stop and fill her up and add a some Stabil. I was happy to see Sams had regular for a $1.42

I am afraid these super low gas prices are going to backfire on us and the high price will come back with a vengeance. Maybe it's because I have seen it happen a few times

Well out here in good old SoCal gas is still just under $3 a gallon and I too believe it is going to come back and bite all of us sooner or later.

$2.70 a US gallon here in Canada. Almost as bad as California. 😮

$1.419 in Weatherford, TX. Topped off with 46.5 gals for $66.00. WOW!!!! Kinda makes one wish they had a near-empty tank so one could fill up and take advantage of the cheap gas.

With the price of crude oil dropping everyday and no signs of OPEC cutting back on production gas should remain low for a while. I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts.

I just wish diesel would drop accordingly. It always used to be lower than gasoline but now it is as much a 30cent/gal higher.

I think OPEC is behaving this way to put pressure on US producers. OPEC will cut back at some point and the price will rise substantially as they will have also eliminated competition. Except for our RV which gets 12.5-14 mpg (rare gas model Winnebago view), I've had a rule that our cars must get at least 30 MPG on the highway.

Gas guzzlers sales are back on the rise. As s nation we never learn.

Our oil field workers are really beginning to suffer. Layoffs and pay cuts are happening quickly. Yes, we have seen this before.

I have seen a couple folks posting to Facebook with prices UNDER $1.00.

I also remember when Gas was over 4,00/gallon back in, as I recall 2007 or 2008 (long about August of one of those years).

Amazing how it has dropped in just 8 years isn't it?

Here in the Salt Lake area I paid 1.71 for gas and diesel was 1.59 Odd how the price of diesel here is cheaper then gas one day and the next day it's more.

Is that taking in account paying in US dollars or Canadian dollars?

Going to Alaska this summer, I hope it's cheaper than in year past. Alaska right now is $2.45 in Fairbanks $2.25 in Anchorage. I'll take that in a heart beat.

Very few of the gas stations along the Alcan ever report prices on the Gasbuddy website. It might be that RVers don't have web service to report the prices. I have reported well over 15,000 gas prices on that site over the last 5 years.

$1.55 NE. Ohio...

Here is a chart from Gasbuddy website with 11 years of fuel prices Fuel price chart All I can say is that is one hell of a roller coaster ride.
