Gasoline/Diesel futures - time to buy?

I've wondered with the falling price for fuel if it is time to consider buying futures to save at the pump. Airlines do this already to great benefit.

(Example Programs and Pricing | Account | MyGallons.com)

Anyone had any ACTUAL experience with this?

It seems obvious that fuel prices will rise again; just how soon and by how much is the question. Also interesting that the unrest in Iraq and other Middle East areas doesn't seem to be able to fly as the instantaneous price increase this time. Perhaps North America now producing a lot more fuel and natural gas is icing into play.

Talk to your local futures broker. He will surely tell you of the millions of dollars you can make buying and selling futures contracts.

But if it is so easy to make big $ at the futures game, why would he waste his time with just piddly commissions?

If you want to play the hedge game you may wish to buy or sell options on the UGA ETF. You can invest in an amount that better suits your usage.

Good Luck
