Nope, all of them say that when used in RV's as most people don't run them enough. We've had three different brands, Generac, PowerTech and now Onan and they've all said it.

When we bought our MH(see sig) it had 23,67X miles on the odometer, and 1,810 hours on the genset. Figures lie though, the previous owner went to Darlington every year and ran the genset 24/7 while parked there. He became ill, so parked the MH in the barn. I bought it 7 years later. The 7.5KW Onan runs as designed, quiet, and dependably.

My 2000 MH generator had 6 hours on it when I bought it. It runs fine.

I better let it run for a few weeks, to catch up.

My rule of thumb when buying a used RV DP was at least 150hrs. per year of the age of the MH. Our 06 was 8yrs. old when we bought it in 2014 and it had 1350hrs on the 10000watt Onan Diesel. 14mos. later it reads 1624hrs and runs like new!
