Gen-turi 1-1/4" split bushing
Anyone have the smallest Gen-turi adapter that they want to part with? I recently bought a new RV and the old one wouldn't come off the pipe no matter what I did. It's the only bushing I need and Camco doesn't sell it separately. They want you to spend $50 on a "transfer kit full of parts I already have.
If no one has one, anyone have an idea of how to make something DIY? I looked everywhere for an adapter that size, but no one makes it! Thanks.

Check with any muffler shop. All the parts I have with mine look like the same things auto parts stores sell to mate up mufflers to exhaust pipes.

Tried that, as well as searching for an 1-1/4" adapter or reducer all over the internet. No dice. I hate to spend $50 for a $0.99 part!!!

Do you have a metal supply co. in your area. If you do check the tube sizes they sell, may be able to find a remnant.

Have you checked Home depot or Lowes? They carry 1 1/4 inch 90 degree pipe.

FWIW A bit of work with a hack saw on a suitable pipe coupler would probably create a usable substitute for a few dollars. There is nothing magical other than use steel not aluminum.

I'm not exactly sure what part you're looking for but, in the pics below, you'll see my home made gen-turi components. The tube-upsweep, from the gen exhaust to the vertical connection is simply an EMT conduit 90 degree from Home Depot. And, as stated earlier in another post, a hack saw can do wonders for a bit of alteration, if and where needed.

If you look at the pic in this kit all I need out of everything is the smallest metal adapter. I have everything else and hate to pay what they are asking with nothing to do with the rest. Robot Check

Hmm, maybe a simple EMT fitting over the pie will give it enough girth for the next Camco adapter I have to grab it.

Maligator,
You see that U-clamp at the bottom of my EMT 90 degree? It was originally installed on that end of the tube, obviously to clamp and stabilize that end. Well, that tube just friction fits onto the gen exhaust, without any clamping 'cause it doesn't need it. You may have to either open or, shrink down, that EMT 90 to suit the fit on your genny.

Did you get it fixed? I think I have one I just used the middle adapted on mine. Is it the inside or outside measurement that needs to be 1 1/4?

Amazon, Home Depot and Wall Mart all offer the Camco Gen-turi and its parts. As noted, the bushings are common and cheaper if not purchased as part of the Camco kit. But, you can find them for ~$17 each if you want Camco (I'd offer Dick 641 $10 plus freight for the one he has if I was you)
