I have a generac generator . When I try to start it from the dash I have to crank and crank even after I prime the unit. If I go to the unit itself and hold the choke while cranking is starts up pronto. How do I adjust the choke to work better from the dash. Unit has 82 hours on it and has been serviced at 25 hrs. as manual says.

Sorry I don't know much about Genarac but they do have a great web site where you can download a service manual for your generator. http://www.generac.com/GeneracEngines/EnginesHome.asp

Maybe you can pickup an idea there. Good luck.

I take the cover off the unit and look on the front of the carb. You will see the choke move up and down when you push tne starter. I look at it and grab it and hold on just for a moment. That is all it takes. Strts right up.
