Help needed,,,2002 Winne adventurer,,5500 gen. When gen is running, basement air is turned on,,fan set to high, it pulls only 7 amps,feels like outside air. Turn off gen, go to shore power, turn air on, fan speed on high, it pulls 17 amps, coach gets cool fast. Breakers on gen have been reset,breakers in coach checked,,what gives???

Im shure you will find a good answer here. I had spark plug problems killing my gen.

southerndog, welcome to iRV2.com. We are glad to have you join us here and we look forward to reading of your adventures and experiences.
Have you check the circuit breakers on the generator itself? You should have 2 120 volt circuits feeding the coach. Check inside the distribution panel to be sure both legs are making it throug the transfer switch. Good luck and let us know what you find.

I think RV Wizard has you on the right track. It appears the problem is not that your generator is not "putting out," but that the current being generated is not getting to the ac unit for some reason.

Since you say you have checked/reset breakers, perhaps a transfer switch contact is stuck?? I've not experienced a partial power problem from a stuck transfer switch, but have experience no power at all until I gave the transfer switch box a couple of good smacks with the heel of my hand.

Everyone seems on the right track. I would try the Transfer switch. If it is not switching over ypu will not get the voltage. The one I worked on was corroded, after some cleaning up it started to work fine again.
