Generator Oil Filter Cross Reference

I was searching for a oil filter for the Onman 5500 generator and came across this. Can anyone confirm if this is correct?

WikiAnswers - What oil filter for onan marquis 5500 generator

Another member has informed me of what oil to use (Mobil 1 10-40), the appropriate oil filter wrench (0420-0577) and the oil filter (Onan 122-0836, NAPA 7398, WIX 57398).

The Onan and Wix #'s match the numbers for my generator. I should have the same setup for my 2002 Pace Arrow. 5500 Onan Marquis. I don't know about the filter wrench. I do not have that #.

i installed 2 quarts of amsoil 10w-40 synthetic oil. 2 quarts will not fit until you start the genny and run it for a few minutes to leak check it. then i poured in the balance of 2 quarts. i used the napa 775-9018 skinny 3 fingered oil filter wrench with the onan 122-0836 filter. it worked ok.

I have the Onan Marquis 7000 and even after running it for a few minutes, couldn't get 2 quarts in (Wix filter, Mobil 10W-40 and Champion plugs). PO used it a lot, 500 hours in 6 years, I haven't used mine yet in a campground, just as a backup genset for use at home during 2 power outages, 50 hours total in 2 years. I bought one of those plier style wrenches.
