Generator Problem

I have a generator that is not running, I thought I posted this before but I cannot find a post on it. I have an Onan 5.5 gas generator that will start but not run. It seams to be a fuel problem because I can make it run temporarily with carb and choke cleaner. I have check and replace the fuel filter and have gone as far as dropping the bowl and looking at the float and needle which seams to be able to work. The fuel pump is working and I checked the oil pressure switch and I think it is working alright. I am at a lost and was hoping to go to the FMCA rally in Brooksville but that does not look good if I do not have power
