I notice that Onan recommends that the valves be adjusted on the 5500 Marquis Gold (Gas) generator every 450 hours. Considering the issue of access, this seems a bit overly conservative. I recently changed out the spark plugs when the hour meter hit 900 hours but I was wondering if others have tackled the valve issue as required. I was able to replace the plugs without dropping the unit but doing the valves will be another story. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Depending on the coach, dropping the genset is usually not that bad if you have a floor jack and good place to work on it.

As a full-timer, its not easy to tackle projects that require an indoor working area or specialized equipment. I'm not sure what I was hoping for but it looks like I'll have to put that one on the back burner for the time being. Thanks.
