The article really doesn’t have anything to do with OP’s paragraph challenged post. I don’t know if he wrote the article and wanted to drive traffic to it or for what other reason he posted. A list of what people don’t like at some RV parks has no relation to getting kicked out. Odd, very odd.

Looking back, I don't think somebody has ever found a campground / RV Park that they liked.

I have stayed in 'more than a few' campgrounds/RV parks in the past 30 or so years participating in the RV lifestyle. Have never once been asked to leave.

My thoughts are leaning towards.....if a person/persons were asked to leave....the management probably did everyone else a big favor.

This thread is sorta interesting but at the same time, kinda confusing. The linked article in the opening post gives 10 reasons for leaving bad reviews. Not anything about getting kicked out.

Did the OP get kicked out for no reason? If not him, then who got kicked out for no reason? I would bet money there was a reason, just that it wasn't a reason the booted person understood.

Like any business RV parks are run by all kinds of people, some very good, some very bad, most somewhere in the middle but the good usually far outweigh the bad. As far as tax liens go that also happens to all kinds of businesses but the owners are all the same, tax cheats.

As for a $100,000 bond that can be had pretty cheaply so it shouldn't be much of an impediment to starting an RV park, a couple nights rent on a lot should pay that bill for the month.

As to maximizing profit, that is usually the point of most businesses it's just that many business owners confuse maximizing profit with maximizing today's profit. The folks that do the latter are called slum lords in the rental business, I'm sure some of them have gone into the RV park business too. I vote with my dollars, I leave and don't come back. If park management told me to leave because I requested maintenance I would do so gladly because they have told me all I need to know about their park, it's a dump and they intend to keep it that way. There customers will reflect that same attitude. Your money your choice.

No, it isn't. I'm not even familiar with any stories of such a thing happening, including your original post. Were you kicked out and have a story to tell us?

I actually don't get the jist. What is it that you're complaining about?

It seems like there's far more to those stories than you're telling. You noticed a manager having a beer with Mary Jane one evening, and now you're making him/her out to be a drunkard on heroine? What's the real story here?

Okay, that's not even possible. The fact that you paid for the RV spot demonstrates that your money supported the local economy. The exchange of money literally is the economy. You purchased food at the local grocery store. You spent money at the local theater, etc. If your money isn't being spent locally, it's your fault. Stop doing everything online and spend money locally.

That's a pretty bleak outlook. I've had very few bad experiences in RV parks. Maybe you just don't know how to pick a good RV park.

Something that simple could get a person booted from a park. Just move to a better campground. Some parks will try to bounce you out for no reason at all.
Do you have a story about such an incident to share with us?

I checked out your link. It doesn't have anything to do with your post. Can you explain it to me?

Unfortunately this is the growing scenario with many of today's RV parks. As the saying goes buyer beware, RVier beware.
I'm pretty good at picking RV parks. WiFi is always spotty in an RV park. That's due to physics. Too many metal boxes. Too much attenuation, too much interference... It's just really hard to get a good signal everywhere.

What's the big error of RV park owner's ways that you keep referencing, but not telling us about? At least tell us your story.

Sounds more like a trailer park they are talking about, than a rv park. Sounds like an episode of the Trailer Park Boys.

I have only ever known of one person getting "kicked out" of a campground.
This was a person with a family who stayed on a permanent RV site with a meter on the site recording power usage. The meters in the campground got read monthly and the site renter was responsible for the cost of the electricity used. As it turned out the site dweller would unplug his power cord from the metered post on his site and plug it into a site next to him each evening the site wasn't occupied. The campground owner got suspicious because the permanent site renter was using only about one half the electricity other permanent site renters were using. He checked for several evenings and discovered what was happening.
When confronted, the renter got defensive and the campground owner asked him to pack up and leave.

30 years of RV'ing for us and have never been kicked out of a park.... though I probably should have....ONCE.

It was a KOA in Bakersfield CA (now a very nice, Non-KOA resort). We were travelling with our two very young children (7 and 10 years old). It was 110 degrees out and our A/C had stopped working. We promised the kids we would go swimming when we arrived at the park, since all KOA's have pools. Well, we arrive at 5 pm and the office is closed and so is the pool! I went Clark Griswald and said to myself.."not today it's not". I hiked the kids over the fence and joined them for 10 minutes of splashing around. Meanwhile other residents are telling me "sir the pool is closed". One gentleman came up and said "leave him alone, he's not hurting anyone and the manager should be around instead of getting drunk at the casino and gambling his money away"...or words to that effect. Anyway....

Well sometimes you have to live up to the promises you make to the kids, even if it was a gray area.

Was your wife on the other side of the fence saying, "You shouldn't do that. Get out. You are going to get us thrown out. Where are we going to go if they throw us out?"

LOL. You must be married too.

Yes, but later she confided that she was very proud of me. To this day, my kids remember this. They know me as a law-abiding guy (in law enforcement), who is a straight arrow..."but did we he had to do". LOL

Exactly...….the OP is telling his story from the view of a "trailer park", not a campground.

What's really sad, the OP is apparently telling more stories that he has seen in a few years than the rest of the community has seen in a lifetime, if ever. I've been RVing for 43 years as an adult and 12 years with my parents. I've never seen someone thrown out.
