Getting rid of ghost images from decals

I'm removing the old vinyl graphics on the rig. Now that I've got some of them off, I can see the next task waiting for me .... minimizing the ghost images. I've read in the forum that people use a buffing/polishing technique.

Never done that before ..... what kind of machine? what type of grit? Any tips?

Also saw this product for chemically stripping the oxidation. Anyone use it?

I know of no way to remove the ghost images. Only way I know is to cover the ghost images like you would a tattoo with custom decals or paint.
I had a partial paint done on my coach that covered all shadows. Painting was done by a RV Collision Repair Center which has the painting facilities and knowledge of RVs.

Probably not going to be able to do anything about it, other that cover it with paint or decal.

Over the years, UV and weather will fade the paint, clear coat, epoxy, jell-cost, whatever, but the area under the decal is nice and protected, so it doesn't fade.

Buffing and polishing will only equalize the oxidized (exposed to the atmosphere) and protected (formerly under the decals) parts of the bodywork.

The UV exposure has faded the colour, nothing will bring back that loss of colour.

OK ..... sounds like the discoloration (yellowing) of the fiberglass walls can't be fixed. What is the best way to remove the oxidation on the walls before waxing ???

Buffing/polishing ??? what type of equipment and polishes?

Chemical stripping with the product in the first post (CrystalTek) ?
