Hi all, just joined your forum.

I sure am glad can do all my own work.
After reading here what some of you paid, for shocks, I shudder.
I found 4 new Bilstiens, on E-bay, (not here to enter into the discussion about Bilstien vs Koni, but my new ones are a whole lot better than my old ones, whatever they were.) for around $200.00 including shipping.
Installed them myself, (about an hour) and it rides like a new coach.

At 24k miles my factory shocks were shot. It porpoised uncomfortably. Went to CW and put 4 Bilsteins on. Nice improvement but still porpoised some. Replaced the front shocks with the Koni's. What a improvement! Don't have any impact tools to do it myself. Looking for 2 more Koni's for the rear.

I put four Koni's on doing the install myself. Bolts were torqured very tight. Noticeable difference, maybe not enough to warrent the higher price. Front end still hammers all the cracks and shakes the MH violently. Front tires are at 70psi. I was talking with another on a different thread about this hard ride and he thinks I dont have enough weight on the front axle. I can't see where I could store anymore towards the front to work the springs harder. Looking at airbags or More-Ryde.
Gotto do something to make it ride softer before the TV falls out on the floor.

KONI's are Great. I was considering trac bar but the konis took care of my issues. BEFORE ANY ONE SPENDS MONEY ON IMPPROVING HANDLEING AND RIDE-ALLIGN FRONT END AND INSTALL KONI SHOCK.

Had Bel for years on my rigs. Went to FSD's and a world of difference. Don't know until you try them.

I just had 4 Koni's put on the front axle of my Monaco today at Precision Frame and Alignment, Elk River MN. $744.00 installed. I would have installed rears also but he was factory back ordered on those till June.
