I'm pretty sure they're taped, though I didn't verify that.

Thanks. I found on the AMsolar web site where they sell VHB tape for fiberglass roof installs.

Coulda paid five and done it myself...and it would have taken me 2 months worth of my weekends to install and then I'd always wonder how well it was performing or whether it would have done better with a different gauge wire, or if I got everything grounded properly, or any of a zillion other potential issues, some of them safety issues.

So far I've now whacked tree limbs twice without even leaving a scratch on the panels, including breaking a good sized branch with one of them. (yes, I'm a noob at this driving a house ****) It's probably built better than I could have done.

I can fire up the app on my phone and check on the performance of the system anytime, even from a restaurant if driver's side of the coach is within about 60 or 70 feet of me. Push a button and it'll email me a performance summary for each of the last 30 days, including warnings if it has seen any errors with battery voltages.

If anything goes wrong I can email or call AMSolar and get a very quick response from folks who either know, or know who to contact at which vendor.

Other than some minor bluetooth connectivity issues (that may not be related to the system) it has performed flawlessly. It's a great setup!

I think I got excellent value for my money, especially since I thought it was going to cost a couple grand more than it actually did.

I never have a problem paying highly qualified people what they ask for their expertise. You are usually repaid in peace of mind and years of satisfaction. Also those individuals are almost always busy and get a large percentage of their business from satisfied customers. A bargain is always in the eye of the beholder regardless of the circumstance.
