Good Sam Emergency Road Service

Our experience today with Good Sam Emergency Road Service. People are always asking which is best so I offer a real time experience today.

We have had Coach Net for years, used them once and they were awesome. Got talked into trying Good Sam Emergency Road Service by Camping World.

We were west bound on I-10 about 30 miles outside Tucson, AZ. We blew a tire on the front of the tow car, shredded. So we called Good Sam Emergency Road Service, this was at 12:47 PM.

The rep said they would text us who was coming out...then we waited...half a hour later we got a call from a tow company located in Bisbee, AZ. We confirmed our location, he said I am not coming there to change a tire, that's 65 miles from here.

So I call Good Sam back again, explain what transpired. I say we are only about 30 miles from Tucson, get us someone from there. We wait...another half an hour later I call back...still no one is scheduled to be sent out. They are working on it. By 2:00 we are done with Good Sam Emergency Road Service, change the darn tire and head down the road.

I already called Coach Net and re-enrolled. Good Sam should be ashamed. Don't get them, if they can't change the tire on our Honda tow car, how in the world do they think they could handle the RV? They can't. Kick 'em to the curb.

Have you posted your experience over on RV.net. Supposedly they have a Good Sam Care Team there to look into problems and pacify unhappy customers. Tell them you want your money back.

Sorry for your experience. CoachNet and Good Sam usually deal with the same providers, so you could have experienced the same with CoachNet. As Brian said, contact the GS rapid response team and file a complaint. The CEO, Marcus Lemonus monitors the rv.net website that accepts complaints and suggestions, if you don't file a complaint he never knows what's happened.

Late last September we were coming home and broke down (engine). Called Good Sams and they did a fantastic job. They got the right tow truck to pull our coach and it was towed to a freightliner repair center (not just any repair center). They stayed in contact with us throughout our ordeal which really took the stress out of our situation. We were very satisfied. Last year we had a flat tire and they had Les Schwab (local NW tire dealer) out in less than an hour and kept in constant contact with us until they came out. I'm sorry your situation didn't turn out that way, but they haven'' let us down yet?

Sorry for your trouble, but GS vs Coach Net is like Chevy vs Ford. Everybody has good experiences and bad experiences.
