Years ago, I worked for a large office equipment company that pressured us to sell the contracts. You mixed the contract in with all the paperwork and most signed without knowing what it was. I didn't like it but needed a job. I haver never bought an extended contract since then. Gets me that check out clerks are required to push contracts no matter what it is.
Had one that tried to sell a contract on an item that costs less than twenty bucks. I ask what the factory warranty is and then tell thim if it won't last that long, I will look at another make. Usually ends conversation.
I put extra money in the sock for an emergency and it hurts when you need it but it is better on the BP that a hassle with someone at a warranty co.

I bought a three year policy from extra ride when I got my 2002 country coach 18 months ago. I have had a number of repairs including a new turbo yesterday. I have nothin but good things to say about extra ride.
