I own a 91 Tiffin Allegro Open Road and where the fresh water attaches to the RV, it leaks and it has gotten progressively worse. I installed a new (not sure of the word) hose attachement but it stills leaks. I have a water flow regulator on it also. I am just wondering if anyone had any ideas before I took it in to get it fixed.

Are you saying it leaks WITH the shore water hose attached? ...or WITHOUT a hose attached? If w/o a hose, the attachment point is leaking water out of the MH, then the check valve on the inlet is either stuck open by debris or is faulty. How you get to the check valve to replace it varies from one coach to another.

It leaks with the hose attached. The water is leaking out where the male end of the hose connects onto the female connector on my RV. I still get water inside but it just leaks right there at the connection. I also bought the whole new receptacle for the RV and attached it but it stills leaks. I appreciate the reply. I am just seeing if maybe had seen this before I take it down to the service center.

Have you tried a new hose? If the male end of the hose gets distorted it cannot seat to the hose washer inside the female side of the inlet check valve. Is it leaking on the outside of the coach or the inside. If the inside, you may want to replace the cone shaped washer that many fittings use to male pipe threads.

It is leaking on the outside. I will try a new hose and let you know if that fixes it.

Two different water inlets and the same water hose and a leak still exist, I would do as RV Wizard suggest and try a different hose. Also ensure a new rubber washer is used in the inlet and that the hose is snug and tightened in the inlet. Sounds like a connection problem or bad male thread end. Sometimes it doesn't take much to cause a leak.

I didn't get to buy a new hose but I will in the morning when I get off work. I just am adding some pics so you can see. This was right after I bought the new attachment.

I agree it has to be either a bad/missing rubber washer in the inlet, and/or a bent/mishapen end on the water hose.

Looks like the hose inlet mounted to sidewall has fallen off wall. Either refasten so hose screw fitting can be fasten tighter and also tie support from window ledge to help support the hose from pulling wall fastener off.

The inlet valve was the new one and I took the pictures real quick before I reattached it. I did get a 45 degree elbow so that the hose would not have that pressure from hanging straight off.
The good news is that I did buy a new hose and IT STOPPED THE LEAK!!! Who would have thought that was it, but it did work. I got to remember to try the easy stuff before the hard. I would like to thank everyone who helped with this and took the time to reply. I have found myself a new website to come to when on the internet.

Just a few closing words . . .Suggest you buy a 90 degree M to F hose adaptor. This will lessen the strain on the hose and the fitting. When you install it, liberally coat the hose threads with the WHITE STUFF (they call it the great white goop) and not with teflon tape. In reality, the water seal is made inside the fittings by compresion of the hose washer. The White Stuff will act as a backup sealant if the washer leaks.
