Does anyone have some links for companies that sale headers? I have the p30 chassis with the 454 7.4L. I've checked the obvious ie: hedman, hooker, Doug Thorley, Jeg's, JC Whitney. I was wandering if there's a company that specializes in exhaust systems and headers or have discount prices. Thanks Chuck

You pretty much have it there already! I would only say that if you are planning on keeping the home a long time get the better brand. If not I wouldn't go there. I got hooker headers this time and when I got the motorhome it had Hedman headers on it. I got the ceramic coated headers this time. There pretty good headers for the price but if you really want the best, get the Banks stainless steel headers! Thats the best but they are pricey!!
One other thing, You didn't say what year your Motorhome is. Can you use duel exhaust or does your home have a catalytic converter with single exhaust? If the later, I would go with the Banks system. Thats really the only one for motorhomes with the catalytic converter on them.

thanks Dan my 86 MH has duel exhaust with no cat. The passenger side manifold cracked so thats the reason for the change. I noticed the air tubes on the manifolds for emissions. Do the headers have the hookups for the lines?

Yes, You tell them what year and the air fittings come already installed so you can keep the emissions testers happy. In your case I would also get them with the ceramic coating as it helps to keep the engine a little cooler. The coating acts like an insulation and it make the hot gases scavenge out faster, I don't remember how but they say it does. good luck and happy travels
