Hehr frameless window replacement
I've been putting this off for almost two years now and finally had some time set aside to replace the Windows. I have the Hehr frameless Windows and they all had a haze between the glass. The manufacturer sent me new windows, I just needed to install them. With the help of a friend of mine, we were able to remove and replace all 8 Windows today. Tomorrow we will reinstall the valances inside. I was actually impressed with how easy the Windows came out and reinstalled. We had to be patient in breaking the seal outside so we wouldn't scratch the paint or break the old window. The seals were really tight so it just took some careful persuasiveness. I also bought new screws, as I found some of them did not want to reinstall as easy as some. All of the new screws reinstalled easily. The manufacturer also sent me enough window gasket to do all 8 Windows. The gasket had a sticky side on one side to adhere to the window while reinstalling. No silicone or caulk required. Also, I was able to leave the inside frames intact, without needing to remove them during this process.
My original Windows had the perforated decals to match the paint job on the coach. I am wondering if this may have been the source for my window hazing by keeping some of the heat in the window. The new Windows are tinted very dark, and I may just leave it like that instead of re-perforating them.
