Chrysler says they have a patch for that. Hope it's better than the N23 recall "PATCH" they came up with for the transfer case issues.

They never said it happened, only that a dedicated hacker focusing on a Jeep could gain access. I doubt it will ever happen, unless that show gives someone ideas.

Exactly. Plus, ultimately it won't be only Jeeps that can be hacked. Any vehicle with a sophisticated computer system would likely be at equal risk. Personally I worry more about the nation's infrastructure than my personal car.

The CBS morning show had the story on this morning. A reporter was driving the jeep and conversing with the "white hat" hackers. They warned him each time they were going to interfere with the car. The hackers have been working with Fiat/Chrysler for quite a while. The vulnerability is in cars with built-in internet. Chrysler may not be the only manufacturer that could be vulnerable.
