My generator starts from the house battery I want to change it to start from the engine battery . When I am out camping and use the house battery for an extended time sometimes it is hard to start the generator without starting the coach engine for a few minutes .I thought why not change it to start off the engine battery which is isolated from the house battery. I would appreciate any constructive comments.

Do you have a boost switch to connect the two sets of batteries for a short time?

I have a boost switch but I thought it just jumped the engine battery.
Does it jump the house battery from the engine ? I have never tried it that way.
