I just noticed for the first time this week that my house batt. didn't charge when running the truck motor. I was down to 50% charge and ran 250 miles home and it was still only 50%. What should I look for? I hate to have it tied up at the dealer for warrenty work this time of year. Scotty.

Nope not turned off. We usually run the genset every morning to make breakfast and that must keep the house batt. charged. We hadn't run the genny for a couple of days when I noticed the batt was getting low.

Fxrscotty, you could have an isolator between the two battery banks. You need to check all wiring at it. Check to see that you have 12+ voltages on both sides with engine off and then start engine and voltages should increase. If it increases on one side and does not increase on the house side then the isolator is bad. You can do the same kind of testing if you have a charging controller circuit and solenoid type. You will also want to verify that your batteries are good. Good luck and let us know the out come.

Thanks Wiz. I called my dealer and they said it could be a solinoid? I will try what you suggested. Thank you. Scotty.
