Depends on how badly the dump valves are leaking and whether you left the cap off..

Two weeks using the extra dump valve to connect the black and gray tanks together.

We easily get 7 days with no troubles. In fact that's the most we've tried to go and neither the grey nor black were registering over ¾ full.

We have 95 fresh and 60 each for grey and black. Seems to be enough for us for anything we need.

I'm sure you can use the valve I'm talking about. It just goes on where your dump hose currently connects. All you do is disconnect your dump hose, connect the new valve, and then connect your dump hose back on, only this time it's connected to the new valve. The valve fits the factory connections. You can purchase the valve at any RV dealer's parts store.

To the OP: with regards to being able to dump the black tank only once/month I can only say "holy crap!"

How about watering flowers trees grass or using it to wash the poop down. Or give the towed a sponge bath or the dog a wash, there is always somewhere to use clean water.
