How much fabric
I want to have my dinette reupholstered and haven't found anyone to do it yet. I've found a fabric that I like but they only have a few yards of it. Anyone have a rough estimate on how much would be needed to cover the 4 dinette cushions minus the bottom side.

You didn't give us enough information. As someone who used to do a lot of sewing, I would have to know the following to offer an option.
1. Does the material have a pattern? Or grain?
2. Width of material.
3. Measurements of cushions, length, width and height.
Then you could get a rough estimate.

If its 54" fabric I think 4 yards should do the job for just the tops. If you can, get 6 so you can also do the bottoms and make the cusions reversable.

You need to know width x height x depth of each cushion. Then how wide is your fabric and if there is a directional pattern before you can have a realistic answer.
I sew for a business. :-)
