One thing you will have to worry about if you don't move the coach (if it's gas with disc brakes) are the brakes locking up. My back brakes locked up and it cost $416 to fix them. Now I take it for a short drive at least once a month.

Take it for 30 mile drive once a month just to exercise the tires and engine. Also run the genset at half load.

Use it or lose it... wise words to live by.
Why pay all this money for something thats just gonna sit and depreciate and/or deteriorate ???
Besides that seals, gaskets, tires, rubber all benefit from use, heat drives out corrosion causing moisture and freshens fuel.
Always added a biocide to fuel for the diesels, I used ATF Fluid...cheapest I could find usually at the Dollar Stores. This was highly recommended by Peugeot Diesel Factory Rep back in early 80's. I put 485,000 miles on the Peugeot Turbo Diesel, it never missed a beat, consistently gave us 45 - 48 mpg and ran like a new one, even after for sitting 3 months at one point. Gave it to my son as wedding gift and he and DW put another 127,000 miles on it and sold it for $4,000.00 to first person looked at it !!! Did same with 93 GM 6.5 Turbo Diesel... 165,000 towing miles and never a fuel related prob. The ATF has strong biocide and helps clean the injectors and injector pump...good stuff !!!

My excuse is that it needs exercise, but in reality I just like to drive it. When not on a trip, I always run my gasser for 15 to 30 miles twice a month (around the beginning of the month and middle of the month) and only when roads are dry. Also, I run my gen. under load for 45 min to an hour once a month.

What if your staying in it @ the same place for several months? Do you need to break camp & go for a drive ?
when I had my hotrods they would sit all winter in inheated garage, or carport. Never had a problem.

I've read somewhere here that if you've got a gasser, you have to drive it at least once a month (30 or so miles sounds right) but for a diesel, you can probably have it sit for as long as you want. I hope mine (a gasser) won't give me any problem when I do bring it our for a drive. It's been in storage mode since January.

Nope. Snowbirds including me just let them sit.

Just starting a motorhome does it absolutely no good and could cause cumulative harm. A vehicle like a motorhome is basically a heavy duty truck. It needs to be started and run on the road for at least a half an hour as frequently as possible. The requirements are to run the vehicle under load and to make sure it achieves operational temperatures.
