How do I install a generator exhaust tip? It is a Stainless Steel turndown. 1-1/2" in diameter and 12" long. I have an Onan MicroQuiet 4000 Generator.
Do I just slide it over the existing tube or replace the whole tube?
Here is a pic:

01Coachman Mirada, welcome to iRV2.
I would cut the generator pipe for length if necessary, and clamp on the tip.

Thanks.
Is that the only way to install the exhaust tube?

My generator exhaust tip slips over the exhaust pipe and a sheet metal goes thru both to secure it, but mine does not have the clamp.

I see.
What kind of generator do you have?
Do you have a picture of your tip?
