How to use house battery to start motorhome's engine

I have Coachmen Prism on Mersedes Sprinter chassis. Recently had battery problem. Does somebody know how to use house battery to start engine?

Thank you

Look on your pilot side armrest or on the dash near your steering wheel for a button that looks like the one below. Hold it down while you start your engine.

X2!

In the unlikely event your MH does not have a boost switch,(it jumpers both battery banks together) simply carry a small set of jumper cables.

Thank you Lory.
Unfortunately I don't have this option.

This is exactly what I had to do in my old Hurricane. Boost switch didn’t work. Ran a set of jumpers from the house batteries to the starter battery. In my case took a long set cables.

Because BOTH house and chassis battery are connected to a common ground, one only needs to connect the positive (+ or red) terminals together.

One cable will do it.

My manual says to continue to hold the boost switch down for 30 seconds after the engine starts.

You'd be better off fixing the boost switch/solenoid.

In most cases its also the isolation/charging relay between the battery banks.

Working properly, all will charge the house battery while underway and many will be Bi- directional and charge the chassis battery while on shore power.

Then you will won't need to use jumper cables, risking a incorrect connection and blowing the tops off the batteries. Just push and hold the little dash switch.

Our 2018 Sprinter has a white button on the driver's side dash, located on the bottom edge, located right above the gas pedal. Press and hold while you start the engine.
