Depends upon how your manufacturer set them up. Ours run off the house batteries.

Most Freghtliner chassis units run off the chassis batteries. Do you have electrical schematics for your unit?

Should be relatively easy to find out.
If they power up only when the ignition is on, they run off the chassis batteries. If they run without the ignition on, the house batteries.
However, if they power up regardless, try turning each battery bank off at the isolation switches to see which must be on before they operate.

My Alpine runs off the chassis battery.

Generally (but not always) the jacks are installed on the chassis by the chassis manufacturer, therefore they are connected to the chassis batteries. The control panel and relays are shipped loose to the coach builder for them to install. Rarely will a coach builder relocate them to the house batteries.

Chassis batteries on mine. That is why I like to run engine to supply full charge power to the pump. Do the same for big slide. Little slide I'll run in and out on whatever the batteries have.

To Clarify, the control works off the chassis, the pump works off the coach

Ok i did a an analysis... and on my coach... when the main HWH jack pump kicks on it DEFINATELY pulls of the coach battery array... NOT the Chassis. Now to the issue.... the HWH display light that shows "Red Battery" is coming on and jacks won't kick down. Battery has plenty of juice. Ideas?

Try starting the generator if you are not connected to shore power and hold down the aux start or boost switch if you are. Re-try jacks and let us know what you find. As has been mentioned a good ground is as important as good battery power.

check your wiring terminals, loose or corroded power cables will do that.

Mine run off the chassis batteries... if I don't turn the ignition to 'ON' they don't run.
