I don't suppose your 02 is much different than my 03. The Hyd. pump is in front on the passenger side beside the generator. If you have a click, likely means you have power at the switch so I would start by looking at the electrical connections at the hyd. pump.
See if you have power there when your helper presses the Up/Down switches. If you have power here and the pump does not start, could be a faulty pump?
Or a relay that controls the pump?
Is the Ign. Switch in the Aux. position?
Check the fuses in the panel just above the generator?
Should be a fuse panel diagram in your manual.
Do the simple stuff 1st and then trade her in on a yeller dog and shoot the dog.

You might want to be sure that your R.V. is in park and that your emergency break is on and that you key is turned on.
That is the only way my jacks will go down, asuming every thing elce is O.K.

Another thing possible is the battery connections. I chased this problem with mine quite a while. Finally found that cleaning the negative battery connection fixed it.
The HWH pump needs full voltage with high current. (The clicking solenoid works with low current drain.)

Have a nice day - Darrel

There is usually a small 5 amp fuse hanging down under the pump. Easy to overlook.

I don't think you would get the "click" the OP is getting if the fuse is bad.

What do I win?

I just went thru this and had the EXACT same symptoms. It cost me two trips to the shop and about 500 bucks. I don't use that shop anymore.
