HWH leveling system operation...how does it work?

New to us 1999 Bounder 28T. Our old motorhome had a Bigfoot system where each jack was controlled with a momentary-on switch...super simple. This motorhome has an HWH system with a controller like the one in the image and what appears to be a level sensor mounted underneath by the frame. So, say the right side and front side are low. I move the joystick right and it's my understanding the both right side jacks start to extend. My question is what if the right front is 6 inches from the ground but the right rear is 8 inches. Does the level sensor shut a solenoid off to stop the front jack?

Now the front is low. I push the level forward but the right front is already extended...does only the left front extend? What happens when it hits the ground, do both fronts start extending now? Your help into this mystery will be appreciated.

They work in pairs so you don't twist the frame. One of the pairs will touch down and stay till the other one touches down, then they both lift the RV.

We have the same HWH leveling system on our Jayco Class C. Yes, they work in pairs.

If one jack has made contact, but not the other side, the manual suggests lowering (front or back) until the other, non-contact side makes contact and raises the coach 3/4".

From the manual:
7. After the vehicle is level, the jacks not used for leveling may be extended until they touch the ground. This provides additional stability against wind and activity in the vehicle. Do this by pushing the jack control lever to the rear and/or front as needed to extend any remaining jacks, until they contact the ground and lift the vehicle approximately 3/4 of an inch. Do not use the right or left extend positions.

read that manual. the system you have is very great, and simple.
to make sure its clean, remove the black knobs, remove the four screws holding the cover down.
vacuum the cavity of the joystick assembly. clean the o ring circuit board with a pencil eraser. vacuum it again,
then use the pencil eraser to clean the lighted circuit board. make sure the three springs are standing straight up. dont pull too much on the spring.
re assemble the parts, and see how it works.
the service manual will guide you thru most repairs.

I have the same controller. It takes a little practice but you will see how it works quickly. Raise the low side until the light goes out, raise the other side until jacks are firmly settled. Turn off when done.
