I have been having problems with one of my slides not coming in. After doing some troubleshooting I found that one of my solenoids appeared to not be working any more. Checking the connector, I had the required 12vdc when the switch was activated... so, must be a bad solenoid. So I ordered a replacement.
Today I went ahead and did the replacement... and it still did not work.. ugh, I thought. So, I checked the voltage at the connector again... all good. Plugged the old solenoid and activated the switch... uhmm nothing. Well, my new solenoid bad...? I had purchased two, one for a spare. So broke out the other new one and tried it... nothing.
Looked at the connector, everything appear well. Well, it appears that one of the pins in the connector was never completly seated, so though it worked for years... it finally ended up not making connection. It all looked good, but just was not far enough in.
Thought I would share my findings in an effort to help others. So, check to make sure any electrical problems are not attributed to connectors with pins not completly and properly inserted into the connector.
my 2 cents worth.
