I have a favor to ask

Could you please fill out your signature with some information about your RV so we don't have to play 20 questions to determine what your problem may be?

The more information we have the easier it is to determine what is wrong.

Make, Model, Year, Engine, etc. You get it.

A map with where you have been helps....if George has only been in Florida and is offering advice on how to handle driving in mountains then I would know to take his advice with a grain of salt.

I have had inquiries based on my signature asking about my toads and coach. People who had bought the same vehicles were asking questions about them.

Thanks

That's an excellent suggestion!

How do you make the map that's in your avatar? That gives a lot of info right there.
I wish we were permitted more lines in our signature. Like you pointed out, then we wouldn't have to play 20 questions.
While we're at it, are signatures searchable? That would be really handy.

Arch,
My humble opinion is that a signature is a "personal" item and reflects what the poster wants to say about themselves.

However, I understand your point and all to many times people post questions about their rigs without amplifying data to help others determine if they can help. You then get a plethora of answers that do not pertain.

When I ask a specific question regarding my MH that is not a generic one, like one on the Norcold refrigerator, Thetford toilet, etc., I will post the information as to year, make, model, chassis, engine, transmission, etc., to help in the answer solutions. That would be another way to approach what you are asking, and it keeps my signature as I want it, personal.

Happy trails.

p.s., just another point of view.

While having the information mentioned in the OP would be great, for me, the best suggestion is for members to post requests in the forum designated for their brand of coach (if one exists). After all, nobody knows your coach like somebody who owns one just like yours.

I see so many posts in the general forums that could, most likely, be answered quickly and with high quality if the member had posted in the forum created for their brand of coach.

Guess I'll add that iPhone/iPad users you will have set up signature on a PC and then go to MORE on the device and turn ON "SEND SIGNATURE"

Hi Arch,

Good points.

But lets give "George" a break. He may live in Florida but have extensive experience in mountain driving. He may be like me, 19 years traveing to/in and around the Rockies and 42 years of visiting the Smokies.

Write your signature REAL BIG on a piece of paper, then hold it up in front of the webcamera on your computer.

NOTE:

You'll have to first remove the piece of duct tape you put over the camera's "eye" because you thought it was spying on you.

If you need any more Technical Advice, do feel free to ask!
