abelow, first let me welcome you to iRV2.com. We are glad to have you join us here and look forward to reading of your adventures and experiences. you will find we are a group of fun loving RVer that like to help each other where we can. These filters can (if installed) be located in almost any place. Most common places are under the kitchen sink or an outside compartment. Someone may have taken the filter out and have a bypasss (may look like a piece of plumbing pipe) installed. You may even look at the outside access area for the ref. but I doubt it would be there as it would freeze too easily there. Good luck and enjoy!

If your fridge is next to the bathroom wall, look under the bath sink. Mine is there with a shutoff.

The ice maker is located just aft of the entrance door. The water supply line goes from it into the floor in the closet and from there it is not visible from the basement compartment. I guess I need to finish tracing it somehow to the water tank. Thanks for the reply.

Welcome!

Not sure if you are trying to find the location within the RV or you have the filter, but can't find a replacement cannister.

If it is the latter, then check with West Marine. They have many cartridges which you can't find at RV supply stores.

The filter is under the sink on the left side of the RV. The ice maker is on the right side of the RV, hence the confusion. The filter under the sink had not been changed for ??? and gave the water dispenser on the sink an odor. When I changed that filter I noticed it was the carbon type. Small bits of carbon were showing up in the ice. Also the output side of the filter has a "t" fitting that feeds the ice maker. Thanks to all who replied.

Well I found the T to get water to the ice maker but now my unit keeps beeping and saying "NO COLD." I presume it is becuase it really is not too level but it seems to work for about 24 hours and then will not work if not real level. Any suggestions?

It might be the out of level or the inverter could be sensing the batteries being less than 12 volts. On my rv there is a protection in the system that selects where the 110 volts goes depending on if I am plugged into 15, 30 or 50 amp shore power.

Dennis, be very careful that if you are parked that the rig is level to operate the refirgerator. They must be as level as possible or you can damage the unit beyond simple repair. If you turn off the unit and in an hour or so it does not notice a drop in temperature it is designed to give you the fault code of "no co", (not cooling) and shut down to prevent damage. The problem will be that if you persistanly reset it it will go into a permanant lockout and then you only get two chances to manually reset the control board before it cannot even be set but will have to be replaced.
Also, in case it is not an unlevel condition causing the fault code take a mirror annd flashlight to look up the back side of the unit to be sure that a piece of insulation or something is not blocking the airflow of the condensor coil. You should be able to see all the way through the coil to the roof vent (or side vent) if mounted in a slideout. Good luck and let us know the results.
