Illinois Lemon Law decision

https://www.rvtravel.com/illinois-le...-game-changer/

If this decision spreads to other states, perhaps the RV industry will stop making their customers be the QC part of production.

Well this IS interesting! The RV industry will be held to the same standard as automakers? Maybe they'll have to start training their workers and doing real QC.

There is another discussion of this ruling here on the iRV2 forums.

The quick distillation - there is some history behind the case, the plaintiffs were very unhappy (as you might guess) and tried other avenues to reach satisfaction. It was after those did not work that they used a provision in the Uniform Commercial Code *as adopted by Illinois*.

This ruling is very narrow and whether or not it would provide relief or compensation for other buyers with problems is a case by case thing. The ruling establishes precedent only in Illinois.

Anyone expecting the RVIAA to go quietly into that good night does not understand industry trade groups and lobbying of politicians.

That's the Reader's Digest version.
