I'm Under A Lot Of Pressure Here.
Just checked the water pressure at the faucet on our campsite. Can this be right?

I checked it at home before we left and it seemed to register correctly. This is the highest reading I have ever gotten.

With all due respect, why have a gauge without having a regulator? Or do you have one and didn't mention it?

I always check the pressure first, and if less than 60 pounds I don't install it.

Well, you better install it now!
A couple of years ago we signed in at a campground that told us up front that their water pressure exceeded 125 psi. They had regulators for sale at their sign in desk if you needed one.
Ever since, I carry the regulator as a spare. I've had to use it a couple of times since.

That water pressure will make short work out of your water system. If you have a regulator install it. What would it hurt if it is just a bad guage?

Wow, that is some serious water pressure. Definitely use a regulator and NOT A RESTRICTOR. They only restrict the flow and when you stop running the water, the pressure will go back up to whatever they supply.

Must have the water supply tank/reservoir on a nearby mountain top!
Most I've ever encountered was 110.

We have stayed at the Siesta Rv Park in las Cruces NM twice.. they have a signin the office that their water pressure is, if I remember right, 125lbs.. use a regulator. They had plenty of them for sale, I think $14.. When we got set up we could not find our regulator so I went over to the office and bought one.. Next morning wife found ours.. Since we have a class A now I leave the regulator on the hose all the time..

I have stayed here also. The first time, about 15 years ago they loaned mr one for overnight. Nice park and town. We enjoy Mesilla.

My home water pressure runs that hi the water tower is less then a mile from my home and it is a big tank with the fire department inside it.

I never hook up without my regulator. I've made it part of the process, just figured better safe than sorry. Mine is a home built 3/4' Watts adjustable so volume is not an issue.

I have seen pressure that high a few times and 100 to 120 several times.
Winnebago says the plumbing is good to 85 psi which is also what residential faucets, ice makers and so forth will handle. I replaced the bathroom and kitchen faucets with Moen residential ones that are good to 85 psi.
The ice maker in our new Samsung refrigerator says it is good to 140 psi so some items may be okay with more.
In my RV I have a Watts whole house regulator set at 65 psi that I connect when the pressure is over 70 psi or so.
The psi in our town is about 135 psi so most homes have a regulator. Mine is again a Watts set at 65 psi.
