I have 3 SRM 27 Interstate batteries in my coach. I purchased this in March from Lazydays. They told me they replaced all the batteries when I purchased it. They are not stamped so I have no way of knowing for sure. One of my batteries has a bad cell. The gravity is way down on that cell. I am in the process of equalizing them at this time. The other 5 cells are bubbling but not the bad one.

Would I have to replace all 3 batteries or just the bad one? I have always been told that all batteries should be replaced at the same time.
I would appreciate some input on this if anyone has some advice.

Thanks; Don

Get just the 1 new battery and put it in the bank and try it. If on the other hand the batteries were a couple of years old I would tend to agree with your assessment.

Take the battery to an Interstate dealer and the manufatured date is stamped on the battery and it could still be in warranty and be replaced at no cost. Following is good battery info: http://www.dcbattery.com/faq.html#1

For info on how the battery turned out.
I took it into Interstate. The battery was a 2005. It passed a load test but dealer admitted the specific gravity was low on one cell. I left it for a day and when I went to pick it up the cell was up to specs. I don't know how they fixed it but I had it on equalizing charge for 4 hours and I could not get the cell up. Out of 3 batteries, just this one cell caused problems. The dealer says everything is now OK. Time will tell. Thanks again;

Don
