I have a Legend 1500 charger/inverterwith trace remote panel in Diplomat 2001. The charger nevers goes off bulk resulting in boiling batteries. Does anyone know if there is a place to repair these in the Portland area? Or if need to replace is there one compatable with my trace panel?

You need to first start with the battery bank. If you have a bad cell in the bank the charger will continue to try to get the voltage up to where it should be and thus boil the cells of batteries in the process. Once you have a good battery bank, then test and diagnose if need be, the inverter/charger. Most of the time it is just bad batteries. Also make certain the charger settings are for the type and size of battery bank you are using. Good luck and keep us posted.

While checking the batteries as RV Wizard mentioned make sure you check all your cables and connectors. If you have never done so then remove them, clean both the connectors and the post or bolt, depending on what you have. Also look closely at the insulation on the cables and make sure there is no corrosion up under the insulation. If there is then replace the cables/connectors.
